Bulk Asset Uploads Guide
Learn how to upload multiple assets at once and process them efficiently with BlokMCP.
Overview
Bulk uploads help you:
- Upload multiple files quickly
- Organize assets into folders
- Add metadata in batch
- Process large media libraries
Basic Bulk Upload Process
Upload Multiple Assets
I need to upload 50 product photos.
For each one:
1. Upload to /products/new-2024/ folder
2. Add copyright "© 2024 Company"
3. Tag with "product" and "2024-catalog"
4. Generate descriptive alt text based on filename
Upload with Metadata Template
Upload these images to /marketing/spring-campaign/:
- image1.jpg
- image2.jpg
- image3.jpg
For all, use:
- Copyright: © 2024 Marketing Team
- Tags: spring, campaign, 2024
- Status: approved
Organizing During Upload
Folder-Based Upload
Upload assets and organize:
- Files with "product-" → /products/
- Files with "blog-" → /blog/
- Files with "logo-" → /brand-assets/
Metadata from Filenames
Parse filenames for metadata:
product-widget-blue-front.jpg
→ Title: "Widget Blue Front View"
→ Tags: product, widget, blue
→ Alt: "Front view of blue widget product"
Post-Upload Processing
Bulk Metadata Update
For all assets uploaded today:
1. Add copyright notice
2. Generate alt text from titles
3. Tag with upload date
4. Set as "needs-review"
Quality Checks
After bulk upload, verify:
1. All files have alt text
2. Images are under 2MB
3. Filenames follow naming convention
4. All are in correct folders
Best Practices
- Plan folder structure first
- Use consistent file naming before upload
- Prepare metadata template
- Upload in batches (50-100 at a time)
- Verify after each batch
- Add metadata immediately after upload
